Cauldron was once a volcanic planet that served as the forge world of the Keliouxian Empire. It was blown up during a titanic battle with Android 1 and has become a chaotic asteroid field.

The planet used to be covered in volcanoes and lava that flowed like rivers. The volcanoes released dangerous gas and dust into the atmosphere which made it necessary to wear a breathing apparatus to spend an extended amount of time on the surface. The lava of the planet was rife with valuable metals and minerals. Cauldron was inhabited by the Keliouxians who constructed large mining facilities and ship building yards. They casted the metal straight from the lava that flows out of the volcanoes.
