This is the first Alex's DBZ RPG 5 Summer Writing Contest. This page will be periodically updated with new details and information so please be sure to check back frequently.

The Prize
There will be one grand prize winner and one second place winner. Whoever places first will be able to chose to receive either the Broli Triple-Threat DVD which includes all 3 Broli movies or to receive the DBZ Movie 3 Pack which includes the first 3 DBZ movies. Each have a $20 value. The winner of the contest and whoever is voted second place will also receive 500 zeni and a package of 5 DP, SP, and RP credits.

When
Registration for the contest will begin on May 1st and end on May 15th. Once you register, you may post your submission on the board at any time. The deadline to make a post is May 31st June 7th.

Where
Submissions will be posted on the forums in a sub-forum entitled Writing Contests which can be found in the Roleplay School forum.

Submission Guidelines
All stories must be either fantasy or science fiction in genre. The main protagonist should be a grizzled war veteran currently on a top secret mission in a war between the Republic of Fuegon and the Paike Empire. The details of the story are up to the author. By submitting a work you are declaring that this is your own original and unpublished work. This work must not be taken from another site but instead is unique to this RPG. All submissions must be a minimum of 2,500 words and no longer than 5,000 words. If you go over this maximum by a few hundred words it is alright but under no circumstance will stories be considered that are under the maximum. You should make only one thread but you must break down your story into multiple posts with no one post exceeding 1,000 words. For example: if your story is 5,000 words you would have no fewer than five posts.

Determining a Winner
All stories will be graded by the two Roleplay School teachers, Pikkon and Crono. The rest of the staff members and members of the site will also have a say in which stories they believe are the best via a public poll on the forums.

Who can Register
First off, you must reside within the continental United States or Canada. This is because we will not ship the prize outside of these two countries. Second, you have to be willing to disclose your location to the staff here when and if you win so that you may receive your prize. If you are not in it to win it, do not join the contest! You need not be a member of the RPG to submit a story (see below).

Cost
If you are a member of the RPG, there is a 250 zeni cost to enter this contest. If you are not a member, you may enter the contest for $1.00 payable through paypal (click the support this site button at the bottom of any page). These entry fees are due before you register.
