How do monthly subscriptions work?

A monthly subscription is a one time donation that grants a player Subscriber Status for a specified number of months at the rate of $10 per month. There are currently 3-month, 6-month, 12-month, and 24-month subscriptions. To become a 3-month subscriber, for example, you would donate $30.

What are the benefits to subscribing?

The primary benefit is that subscribers will have access to purchase an exclusive monthly donation item, available only to subscribers and only during that month. Once the month is over, the item will no longer be available for purchase (but you can still use it if you have it, of course). New items will be announced on the forums here.

Subscribers may also claim a bonus of +5 DP per update while their subscription is active. If you have multiple characters, this bonus may only be claimed on one of them each week.

Additionally subscribers will be given a second chance to win contests and raffles for in-game items when they are held. That is, one winner will be chosen from all entrants, and a second winner will be chosen form subscribers who entered only.

What is the difference between the different level of subscriptions?

There is no difference between the 3, 6, 12, and 24 month subscriptions other than having access to the exclusive items for each of the months and you can renew at any time. You can buy two 3-month subscriptions back to back to become a 6-month subscriber for example.
